Meet The Circles Team

I grew up on the Norfolk Boards sailing and messing about in boats, before getting into skateboarding and setting up a skate clothing company with mates.  After studying Anthropology at University College London, I worked making television programs all over the world from South America to Finland.  After a few years I set up my own company making music videos and documentaries.  This led to an interest in community led filmmaking and working to give a voice and advocacy to youth groups in London.  At this time, I also began working as a marine engineer on the Thames and re-building a houseboat to live on.  After living for 4 years on this narrow boat my wife and I chose to move to the Essex countryside.  I wanted a job that would give me the satisfaction of working with young people but provided the freedom to engage them with a variety of my interest from filmmaking to boat building; Circles was the perfect fit.  I really enjoy working here, the young people's individuality makes the job very interesting, and I feel privileged to be able to engage them in such a wide variety of projects, that will in turn help set them up for positive futures.
